The Great Salt Lake is a fascinating ecosystem that has few rivals in the world. It's the largest salt water lake in the Western Hemisphere and the eight-largest terminal lake in the world. It is one of North America's true hidden treasures often overlooked and rarely visited. It plays an important role in the State of Utah's economy, and in producing the fine powdery snow that Utah has become famous for. Unfortunately, the future of this natural wonder is in peril.
